Lucknow: A member of the State Women's Commission, Priyanka Maurya, recently received hoax calls from unidentified individuals requesting her personal information. She has lodged a complaint against these unknown persons at Krishnanagar police station. In her complaint, she stated that the callers claimed to be the personal assistants of the chief minister's principal secretary and the DM of Unnao. They contacted her, pretending to require her personal details. Priyanka believes that the opposition is attempting to damage her reputation through these deceptive tactics. An investigation has been initiated based on her complaint. Priyanka mentioned receiving the first call on Sept 9 at her residence in LDA Colony on Kanpur Road, and a similar call on Sept 30, both from unknown numbers. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, she reported the matter to the Krishnanagar police station. Keshav Kumar, DCP of South Zone, confirmed that an FIR has been filed, and an inquiry is underway.
